Mary Stoochnoff
July 12, 1936 – September 2, 2022
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Mary Stoochnoff. She was born to Pete and Lucy Harasemow in Perry Siding, BC.
Mary was a middle child with 2 older brothers, and 2 younger brothers. Her early life was spent at Perry Siding, until she met and married Bill A. Stoochnoff (deceased 2016), on February 5, 1955. After a couple of moves, they settled in Ootischenia and started a family. Vivian, Billy (deceased 1989), and Paul.
She leaves behind her daughter Vivian (Terry deceased 2002), her grandson Troy (Sarah), great grandkids Salena and Talia, grand daughter Lisa (Tyler), son Paul (Blanche deceased 2020), also brother Willie (Marion), and their family, sister-in-law Mary (brother John deceased 2022) and family. Also, many relatives and friends, both in Castlewood, Poplar Ridge and surrounding areas.
Thank you to everyone for all the loving support all these years, and especially in our time of need. Castlegar Funeral Chapel is in care of arrangements. At Mary’s request a graveside service will be held at Ootischenia Cemetery on September 12th at 11am. Everyone who knew Mary is welcome to attend.
