Obituary for Alfred Tenisci

It is with great sadness that we announce that Alfred (Fred) Tenisci, age 74, passed away peacefully in Talarico Place on September 24, 2023.
He was born on September 23, 1949, in Trail, B.C. Following his high school graduation from JL Crowe in 1967, he attended University of Victoria on a hockey scholarship. He was a talented goalie and played hockey across Canada and the USA on several different pro teams. He returned to Trail after the loss of his sister Dolores where he started his career at the CP Rail.
Fred met Irene Enoksen at a dance hall in 1975, and after a short courtship they were married on December 29, 1976. They had four daughters, Rhonda, Sheri, Courtney and Gina.
Fred loved music and would often travel to concerts all around the world, especially to see his favourite artist, Neil Young. He became one of Jehovah’s Witnesses in 1976 and found great joy in volunteering his time to help his family and others to understand the Bible.

Fred is survived by Irene and his daughters Rhonda, Sheri (Stewart), Courtney (Dan) and Gina (Will) as well as his grandchildren, Jacob, Erin, Jessa, Annika and Mitchel.
He is also survived by his sisters Mary (Mel) of Kamloops, his sister Loretta (David) of Comox, and Christine (Jean-Yves) of West Kelowna, his brothers Leonard of Vancouver, Ron (Gloria) of Kamloops, Ray (Carolyn) of Trail and his brothers in law John (Catherine) of Vancouver, and Mike of Ladysmith. He leaves behind many nephews and nieces.
He was predeceased by his parents Fioravante (Fred) and Emily of Trail, as well as his sisters Dolores, Teresa, and Louise.
A memorial service will be held at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Castlegar, BC 1680 Woodland Drive on Saturday Oct 7, 2023 at 2 pm. All are invited to attend.
